About the Role: We are looking for a Health Economic (HE) and Value Strategist (f/m/d) that will formulate HE strategies for our medical device products in your assigned EMEA country. In this role, you will be the expert in Coding, Coverage, Reimbursement (CC&R) and Policy. You will work in a cross-functional team to develop clinical and economic evidence to support local reimbursement and value messages for GORE products.

This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our facility in Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid or fully remote work allowed in most locations within Spain, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 
Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure successful definition of value propositions as part of a cross functional Market Access Team
  • Work across businesses to enable the execution of commercial strategies to drive profitable growth in a changing healthcare environment, with the goal of securing maximum sustained reimbursement
  • Identify, develop and communicate an impactful value proposition to Providers and Intermediaries as part of a cross functional Market Access Team (Product Specialist/Product Manager, Strategic Marketer, Field Sales Associates, Health Economics, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, etc.)
  • Input to economic value models, utilizing economic value analysis as well as associated evidence definition and collection, to support relevant value propositions
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen a network of contacts with policymakers, government officials and agencies, as well as payers, HTA bodies and trade associations at National and Regional level (perhaps also mention about engagement with relevant stakeholders for the objective of national databases, obtain better data linked to TMBD)
  • Initiate Health Economics research as required and generate evidence; train selling teams on how to represent economic value to customers and educate KOLs and relevant stakeholders on economic value arguments
  • Partner with the Provider Sales Organization, Tendering, Provider Marketing, and Business Operations Teams to ensure successful communication of Gore’s total value offering to Providers, as well as your collaboration to articulate the value case supporting the development of marketing materials
  • Forecast and monitor investments

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree with a postgraduate qualification, preferably a Master degree, in Health Economics, Public Health, Political Science, Lifesciences, Economics, Health Information Management or a related business
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or life sciences
  • Advanced knowledge of Spain coding and payment systems for physician and hospital provider services and experience interfacing with medical device policy groups and influencing healthcare institutions, policymakers and payers
  • Advanced knowledge of the Spanish reimbursement landscape (including processes for assessment by Regional HTA agencies) for medical devices
  • Advanced knowledge of the Spanish reimbursement landscape for medical devices
  • Demonstrated ability to create and interpret clinical and economic evidence, including methodology and analysis, to support new and commercialized products
  • Proven ability to organize, priorities and drive the business to success
