About the Role: The Medical Products Division is looking for a Regional Strategic Marketer (f/m/d), to join the General Medical Products (GMP) business in EMEA. In this role you will be able to contribute to the success of the EMEA General Medical Products business through your customer understanding and regional subject matter expertise of the minimally invasive general surgery market, with a focus on bariatric surgery, hiatal hernia repair and minimally invasive ventral hernia repair. The candidate (f/m/d) will collaborate across the Global GMP Marketing and Product Specialist Teams, as well as regional Sales Leaders to achieve the annual EMEA GMP regional revenue forecast. The Regional Strategic Marketer (f/m/d) will be responsible for the development and execution of the EMEA regional marketing strategy aligned to your products and disease states and inform, through regional input, the global market assessments, and product strategies.

This is a remote position, and you can work from your home office in France, Italy, Spain or the UK.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute EMEA commercial marketing plans with defined and measurable strategies and tactics, in partnership with Product Specialists, Marketing, Sales and Support Functions
  • Forecasting, tracking, and measuring ROI on marketing investments to inform future marketing investment decisions
  • Drive the regional market and customer assessment and regional market landscape, to inform global upstream and regional marketing strategies and product strategic reviews
  • Develop and integrate the regional market landscape to ensure commercial viability – needs, attribute priorities, pricing etc.
  • Drive segmentation-based regional marketing planning including targeting, positioning, launching, messaging, commercial 4Ps
  • Drive account targeting and develop and execute the customer engagement plan for the region, in collaboration with Sales
  • Develop clear, concise, and compelling market positioning and messaging aligned with our product concepts, inclusive of economic value claims
  • Creation of marketing content, in partnership with Marketing Communications, to develop an integrated communications plan, sales tools and multi-channel campaigns aligned to your commercial marketing plan
  • Create the medical training and educational strategy for the minimally invasive general surgery portfolio and partner effectively with your Medical Education Liaison, Marketing Communications and Event Services Team to manage and develop regional key thought leaders, and deliver exceptional customer facing educational events and promotional events
  • Educate the EMEA sales teams (both direct and indirect) on the commercial marketing plan, product and disease state training and the use of key marketing tools/capabilities such as digital selling

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline
  • Experience in Strategic Marketing or Product Management in the bariatric surgery market, with knowledge of other Minimally Invasive General Surgery procedures such as laparoscopic ventral and hiatal hernia
  • Proven experience in developing and executing commercial strategic plans to capitalize on revenue generating opportunities
  • Demonstrated success influencing and integrating within and across teams and functions to execute against strategic plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive market assessments and uncover market insights and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with the sales organization and functional business partners to drive profitable revenue growth
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clinical customers, in particular key physician thought leaders
  • Ability to travel overnight (travel frequency will vary throughout the year, however maximum would be ~50%)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in measuring ROI for marketing investments
  • Prior experience in the bariatric surgery market across EMEA
  • Fluent (written and verbal) in Spanish and/or Italian and/or French
